Todd Nissenholtz, Cofman Townsley’s managing partner, focuses his law practice on personal injury, including matters related to wrongful death and catastrophic injuries.
Todd attended the University of Texas at Austin for his undergraduate studies, where he graduated with honors in 1999. He then earned his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law in 2003, where he served as research editor for the Emory International Law Review and clerked for Justice P. Harris Hines of the Georgia Supreme Court.
Todd’s legal practice concentrates on complicated products liability and personal injury claims involving significant bodily injury, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and serious burns and electrical injuries. These injuries have resulted from automobile accidents, trucking or commercial accidents, explosions, and workplace injuries.
Todd has proven himself to be a forceful litigator in these areas. He was awarded Top Plaintiff’s Verdicts in 2024 and Largest Reported Verdict in 2014, with two additional cases named among the Top Results in 2010. In recognition of Todd’s outstanding results, he was identified as an Up and Coming Lawyer by Missouri Lawyers. He has also been recognized as a Super Lawyer in the area of personal injury and selected as a barrister of the Inns of Court.

Todd grew up in St. Louis County in a household that included a father who was a lawyer and a mother who was a teacher. In fact, his father, David Nissenholtz, has been a partner with Cofman Townsley for 50 years. In his time off, Todd raises his two sons in their St. Louis County home.
